Any quick release solutions for attaching the Camera Pod?
Really like the camera pod, have used it in Iceland on 2 trips and was able to attached the provided caribeaners to the sternum strap on my camera backpack. Worked well, buckle held the pod on the strap so I could simply release the stermun strap to take off the pack and the pod would stay on the sternum strap.
I now have a HMG Unbound 40 pack and the sternum strap buckle is too small to hold the pod on the strap. Looking for a solution for a quick release way to attached the camera pod to the Unbound 40. Anyone come up with a good soution for this? Fiddling with the small caribbeaners every time the pack comes off and goes on is slow and a PITA.

You could try attaching it to your hip belt if you are using it. But I’m sure from the comments above you will be able to figure something out! Be safe out there!

The peak design clips are a great idea. I use them for my camera straps but haven’t thought of attaching other gear with them.

@TenDigitGrid you have any photos of your setup you could share? I just ordered some anchor links since I love peak design for most my gear but was curious how and which side you attached your links and clips too. Thanks!

@TenDigitGrid I’m trying to figure out a good way to attach my anchor links to my backpack but making them removable so if I’m not using my camera or using a different pack I can switch. Right now I put it on with one of those little Velcro straps but I don’t trust it. I was thinking a keyring but it doesn’t fit the anchor link side well. Any ideas?

@tonywodarck interesting thanks for sharing! I wish there was a way to buy just the piece that the anchors drop into, so we could semi-perminently attach them to multiple pieces of gear.

@tonywodarck yes but seperate the two different ends so I can by just the part the anchors attach into

I tried to attach my camera pod to my backpack straps using Peak Design anchors and was...disappointed. I thought it would be easier than the supplied mini-carabiners, but I ultimately ended up improving my technique with the HMG carabiners.
I had an older PD camera strap where the rubber was getting old and leaving marks on my clothes. I reached out to PD and they replaced it under warranty. I then cut the old anchor nests (?) off the strap and tied them onto my HMG pack straps. My plan was to fine tune the attachment if I liked the system, but in the end I did not.
All of this is to say, I think it's a worthwhile goal, but I'm not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze. However, if I am wrong and you come up with a great system, please do keep me posted.

@bugglife hahaha I feel you. I had everything set. I bought a separate sternum strap off Amazon to connect to the shoulder daisy chain and was gonna modify it and connect the PD anchor links. It ended up getting too long and the camera pod just sagged. I think the carabiners are my best bet. Worth a try!

I know this is an old thread, but for what it's worth ... when I was in Nepal I used a similar chest bag (before HMG came out with the camera pod) to carry a DSLR. The manufacturer had a chest harness that comfortably allowed me to carry the bag without it being attached to my backpack. I'd love to see HMG come out with a similar lightweight harness.
