    The Maine Appalachian Trail Club (MATC) has many volunteer opportunities! Work trips are happening throughout the summer and can be found here. There are several trail sections that are looking for a maintainer... you can find all the vacancies here. Also, there are many "off trail" opportunities, like serving on one of the many committees (which can be found here). I'm totally happy to connect anyone to the perspective person within the club.     I actually made a video highlighting some great ways to volunteer on the AT for National Trails Day this year, and some opportunities are still relevant! Connecting with your local trail maintaining club is always great way to adopt a section of trail, participate in a work day event, or find a trail crew near you.
