I buy el cheap-o rubber swim sandals. If I loose, C'est la Vie. These allow my pathetic feet to air - dry, hang on outside of pack, and allow me to walk over crud, and damp surfaces at night when Nature Calls. Tried bare feet, sox only, and both unsuitable. These sandals are so cheap, you can ditch them. If you wanna spring for pricier, better option, get a pair of slip on sandals. This type won't hinder sock-wearing.
